Cole Shoemaker

Cole Shoemaker is an Associate Attorney who practices in various areas of civil and commercial litigation.  His practice includes first and third-party insurance defense and insurance coverage work.  In his labor & employment practice, he represents employers on all issues concerning employee relations, including discrimination, retaliation, and harassment; covenants not to compete and misappropriation of trade secrets; wrongful termination; wage and hour issues, including failure to pay overtime and misclassification of employees; breach of fiduciary duty and confidence; and breach of employment agreements and contracts.

Mr. Shoemaker attended Emory University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School and a double major in sociology at Emory College. Prior to attending law school, he worked in finance. Mr. Shoemaker then attended Emory University School of Law, where he participated in the school’s Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques and was named to the Dean’s List. While in law school, he clerked for a mid-sized regional firm in Houston.

In his spare time, Mr. Shoemaker enjoys traveling the country to watch baseball games and review the stadiums for his website and blog, BallparkRatings.com.
