Overview
Mark Dyer is a board certified trial attorney who has significant experience in representing clients state wide in tort and commercial litigation disputes. His areas of expertise including products liability, trucking litigation and personal injury defense, commercial “business tort” defense, construction defect litigation and professional liability litigation. Mark has been recognized as AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale Hubbell®. From 2003 to 2012 Mark was named to “Super Lawyers List” by Texas Monthly Magazine.
Mark’s community involvement gives him unique insight and experience for handling his client’s litigation matters.
Mark served on the City of Irving’s Planning and Zoning Commission from 2002 to 2009, including serving as Chairman of the Commission. This experience has given Mark a great depth of knowledge in zoning and property
development issues.
Mark served on the Board of Trustees of both the Baylor Medical Center of Irving and the Irving Hospital Authority and served as Chairman of both boards from 2008 to 2011 and from 2012 to 2013. He has also served on the Operating Board of the Baylor Health Care System. Mark served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North American Mission Board and served as the Chairman of the Board of Trinity Christian Academy from 2021 – 2023. These experiences have been of great benefit to Mark’s clients who are involved in healthcare, non-profit, school, and commercial litigation matters. Mark currently serves as the President of the Irving Hospital Authority and has been responsible for oversight of a $150 million hospital construction project, involved in strategic planning for hospital and healthcare issues and providing leadership in addressing the impact of COVID-19 on a major community hospital and a large suburban community.
Mark leads the Dallas office of Martin Disiere Jefferson and Wisdom, LLP. Since the early discovery of COVID-19 Mark has been significantly involved in developing plans to address and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in the hospital, private school and workplace settings, making him uniquely prepared for the anticipated tort litigation resulting from COVID-19 exposures.
Mark and his wife have two daughters and are active in church, school and community organizations. When not practicing law, Mark enjoys participating in trail running and half and full marathons.
