Overview
Zoya Bukhari is an associate attorney in Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom’s Houston office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on tort defense litigation and personal injury defense. Zoya attended Texas State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and a minor in International Studies. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she worked in software sales and music licensing for a few years before deciding to go to law school. Zoya then moved to Houston, Texas and attended South Texas College of Law where she obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence.
During her time in law school, Zoya held the position of President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, Advocate in South Texas Mock Trial, Editor in Currents Journal of International Economic Law, and Student Member of Garland Walker Inn of Courts. She was selected by the American Bar Association’s Judicial Internship Opportunity Program and was a law clerk for Judge Reed O’Connor and Magistrate Judge Rebecca Rutherford in the Northern District of Texas. Zoya was also selected to work as a research assistant to Professor D’Andra Shu in the areas of Employment Law.
When she’s not advocating for her clients, Zoya enjoys playing doubles pickleball with her husband, riding horses, singing, and taking long walks with her dog, Nala.
